The Maltese Islands are situated in the Mediterranean Sea, about 100 km from Sicily and 290 km from North Africa. They consist of Malta, Gozo and Comino. Their attitude towards the guests are friendly and hospitable. As the Latins, the Maltese are a proud nation. They respect the family and are mad about the children. The nightlife in the capital amounts to no more than a drink or two in a bar or a trot in the evening in a karrozzin drawn by horses around the floodlit ramparts of the city. However, there is plenty of action in the appeals to the northwest. Those who seek the lights bright should go to the small St. Julians area known as Paceville. Here you'll find the mass of discos, pubs and bars late at night. In summer, the neon streets is filled with action-seekers. The St. Julians is also home to the casino Maltas the only place where the nightlife could be described as ostentatious. Beyond the headland, the bay of St. Georges has a growing number of trendy nightclubs. Few concentrations of bars with live music and discos occasionally, can be found in Sliema and in the area of St. Pauls, and around Buggiba Qawra.Discos open in early evening for young Maltese visit from the countryside that need to interfere last house of the bus at about 9 or 10 pm.
